Chỉ tình thế đã nhận ơn huệ hoặc hưởng lợi từ ai thì bị ràng buộc, khó hoặc không dám nói năng, phê phán gì về người đó. Thường dùng để nói sự nể nang, mắc nợ tình nghĩa hay quyền lợi nên phải giữ miệng.
